ROBOT GUIDE FOR TAKING BISCUITS IN CONTINUOS MODE AND PACKING

Problem:

The problem of the client is that to pack some biscuits withdrawing them with a robot from a conveyor belt. The biscuits have a casual position and the belt it is in movement.

Solution:

VEA has developed the ROBOT system devoted to resolving the problem of robot guide. This application uses 6 systems to command the robots of the line.

The main characteristics of this application are the followings:

  1. Every system commands 2 robots in parallel
  2. Resolution of pieces positioning 6144 X 4604 virtual pixels
  3. Recovery of the optic distorsions
  4. Precision on a field of 80 Xs 57 cms ± 0,2mm
  5. Conveyor tracking: it manages the taking of the biscuits in dynamic mode (with the belt in movement)
  6. Simple and intuitive configuration
  7. It has the possibility to position the camera inclined thanks to the setting's system of the real plan.
  8. The part of configurable interfaces can suit for whatever type of robot and it has been made with at least 10 brands of robots.
  9. PLC with 32 parallel task incorporated
  10. Possibility to mount the camera on the robot and to have more cameras
  11. Built in Image stabilizer.
  12. It has a relationship price / performances unique on the robot guide market.

The strength of the algorithms of vision and the flexibility of the system, currently make of this product one of the best robot guide in commerce.

Reliability of the vision system:

A industrial robot guide has to be reliable and repetitive. Unfortunately in the industrial environment don't exist same conditions that there are in the laboratory. For this reason it is essential to have a system that automatically correct the dysfunctions under listed:

  1. the biscuits would not be equal between them
  2. the light's conditions change in time
  3. the biscuits are in movement
 
Camera freely positioned:

It is not necessary to position the camera with precision because the plan setting's system straps automatically the perspective deformations. The procedure of setting is completely automatized and fast.

 

Thanks to the completely configurable interface it is possible to connect with whatever robot system also with conveyor in movement (modality conveyor tracking).

 

Incorporated PLC:

The PLC included in the vision system allows to manage I/O with 32 parallel tasks, independently from the vision system.
